Parents' Corner: Books
Richard Scarry is weird, but, in this book at least, I think he's weird in a good way. I like that this book is realistic and detailed (excavators, double-decker buses, steam engines) as well as silly and imaginative (banana cars, gorillas driving steamrollers, Maniac bug). A great book for plane rides: examining the illustrations can kill at least an hour, and it's much less boring than every other toddler book about vehicles.
